Do I need to install an app?

No. Chat works in the browser, inside Kloki, and you can also open it in a separate window at your company address. Every employee with an email gets an account automatically and signs in with the same Kloki login, no new password.

What is Chat built on?

Kloki Chat is built on Zulip, a professional open source chat. Zulip was developed by a team Dropbox acquired in 2014, and Dropbox released it as open source in 2015. Thousands of organizations use it today. We connected it to Kloki: accounts, login and employees come from Kloki.

Can I use Chat on my phone?

Yes. On your phone, chat is in the Konvo app for iOS and Android, with push notifications for new messages. Chat is coming to the Kloki mobile app soon.

Who can see my messages?

Direct messages are visible only to the people in the conversation, channel messages to the members of that channel. Every company has its own separate space and address, so nobody outside your company sees your conversations. Data is stored in the EU.

What happens when someone leaves the company?

When you mark an employee as having left in Kloki, their chat access ends immediately. No former employees still reading work conversations, and nobody has to be removed from groups by hand.
